OSHA 10 AND 30 HOUR CERTIFICATION FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKERS

By January 1, 2010 construction employees must complete an OSHA 10 hour training class and construction supervisors must complete a 30 hour safety course as per AB148 which was approved by the Governor on June 3, 2009.  Pro Group Management Safety Services is providing this training in their Carson City, Reno, Las Vegas Offices and Elko offices. For a 2010 training schedule; www.pgmnv.com

We would like to acknowledge and thank the Southen Nevada Home Builders Association (SNHBA) for their diligent efforts and research to provide a very helpful Question and Answer article about the new OSHA training law, that you can find by clicking here.

NAHB Spring Board of Directors & Legislative Conference

April 17 - 24 Washington D.C.

Have you ever wanted an opportunity to address our Nevada congressional body at their offices in D.C.? This conference is that opportunity.

Every year BAWN, as well as the other HBAs in our country, go to D.C. to discuss what they are doing for or to our industry. Last year we talked about NOL, Card Check, First Time Home Buyers Credit and anything else that NAHB has put on the prepared talking points list.

We have been fortunate that our Representatives and Senators have made time to meet with us and tell us what they are doing. As well as listen to us about our concerns.

This year I believe that many issues that are important to us, Americans as well as Construction Industry representatives, will be on the docket.

Make plans to go to Washington D.C. this April and be part of the solution.

Call me at the BAWN office for more info.
